Clarification on Demotion/Promotion policy
No, it wasn't a dumb question which prompted me to to give this some time on the update, but who could resist using Bart Simpson right?! Anyhow, there was some confusion about the policy on the 30/10 rule and the process by which we do promotions and demotions. In case you missed it, here was the explanation given:
The only time restriction we have on promoting or demoting prospects is once you demote player X ESPN places him on waivers once you drop him. If you choose to re promote him once you demote him and drop him from your roster you must wait until the end of the waiver period to re-add. The LM's won't manually add him back to your roster to circumvent the waiver period.
We do ask that owners stay diligent with posting promotions/demotions, but we have never not allowed a move because this wasn't done right we have always processed the move and reminded whatever owner of the proper process. That's not to say we shouldn't stay diligent about doing things the right way, but honestly we didn't think it fair for a guy to lose a player over a procedural issue. We have taken a similar approach this year when dealing with the LTIR. While we want people to do things a certain way, we don't see the need to make a capital case out of it. However in the case that this would become an epidemic I think we would certainly become more strict about these procedures hence the message a week ago about posting proper links for the LTIR.

The whole point of the 30/10 rule is to prevent people from using the waiver wire to fill up their farm. It was never intended to restrict an owner's ability to promote/demote players they have on their farm.
After rereading the rules a few times, the above point is never made clear, and it certainly does sound a lot like ANY prospect needs to be on your active roster for the 30 or 10 days before demotion. This needs to be cleared up so that the wording of the rules reflects the actual rule.
2 top scoring players, only one win!
Last week in the match-up between Bomberz! & JSAS, there were two 90 point scorers. One for each side. And even though former AL MVP Hamilton had a 4 HR game and a 105.5 point week, JSAS and Carlos Zambrano's 96.2 were too much to over come. I've done a little research and as far as I can tell, this is the first time in our league's history where two teams facing each other had the top Pitcher and the top Hitter in a week on each others team. It also goes without saying that no match-up in a normal week, before now, had a 90 point player on opposing teams in the same week. Wow!
Trophies for week four have been assigned. Have a great week!
Top Team: Fenway Faithful 488
Top Pitcher: C. Zambrano 96.2 JSAS
Top Hitter: J. Hamilton 105.5 2008
